Teeny-tiny Projects Using Vellum Paper

School going kids must be very aware of vellum paper, which is a translucent paper popular for its use in arts and crafts projects. Such as for making greeting cards or scrapbooking, as well as for tracing designs. So, kids are you ready to start all your fun projects using vellum paper? If yes, here are some of the options that I’ve explored in this blog.

1. Make an envelope: Keep aside the boring regular paper and just use it as a template to create a vellum envelope. When assembling envelope, you will need vellum glue, which you can find by scouring school supplies online.

2. Create a pocket for scrapbook page: It’s simple, fold a sheet of vellum paper in half and attach it to a heavyweight card stock with adhesive. Insert items like pressed flowers, cards made of colored paper or any other treasures inside, which you can then view through the vellum without disturbing it.

3. Trace design on vellum paper: Vellum makes a great tracing paper. Take a light-colored sheet over a picture or on anything you’d like to copy and then trace away.

4. Adorn gift box: You can use vellum paper to wrap a small gift box. Furthermore, you can adorn the package with a silk or satin ribbon, to give it a final touch. You can find these decorative stuff by searching for classroom supplies online.

5. Weave some together: When you combine vellum with different colored papers or cardstock, it will add a softening pattern or even change its own color. You can try weaving a few one-inch strip together of different colored vellum to create a plaid background.

6. Print photo on vellum: You can achieve some incredibly unique results by printing photos on vellum. Try experimenting with placing the printed photo on different colors or textures of card stock

Try out these teeny-tiny projects and you’ll be impressed with the own created masterpieces.
