Recycled Paper - Best Way to Manufacture Paper Products by Saving Energy

With increase in the cost of fuel and gas, most people have started focusing on saving energy available in the environment. With this step towards energy conservation a new concept in the paper industry referred as paper recycling is introduced. Paper recycling process not only helps in saving energy, but also gives excellent opportunities to different types of paper manufacturing industries to design some new and innovative paper or envelope products. In fact, reputable paper industries use recycled paper to design many attractive products.

Metallic or Metal Papers
Majority of paper industries of modern times prefer manufacturing metallic paper by adopting paper recycling. Nowadays, paper manufacturers can design wide range of metallic papers to fulfill both commercial and residential needs.

Onion Skin Papers and Journals
Onion skin paper or Translucent paper is lightweight, strong and thin paper. These type of papers are mostly used with carbon papers to type duplicates in typewriters and to permanent records in offices and business organizations.

Other than this, many professionals involved in paper recycling also use recycled papers to make attractive leather bound journals. Interesting fact about journals is that it has become popular amid different business executives, and become very much popular in common people.

Steps to Follow for Recycling Process
Now, let us look over the steps followed by paper recycling industries to manufacture different types of papers via recycling process.

Collection
This is the first step, where people collect all types of waste papers and forward the same to different types of paper mills involved in production of recycled papers.

Addition of Suitable Chemicals
Personnel of paper industries put waste papers into vats and add suitable chemicals in combination with water. Large beaters stir this mixture to separate paper fibers being forced by screening process to remove some large contaminated substances from various types of pulped fibers. On the other side, remaining part of the entire mixture will stay within the centrifuge, which easily spins mushy mixture for separation of dense and even undesirable foreign particles from the entire mixture.

Removal of Ink and Making New Paper
Now in this step, professionals take steps to remove ink and make new paper by following a process referred as deinking process. Once the deinking process is completed, staffs of paper industries can step forward with manufacturing new paper.
Hence, by following few paper recycling steps, people can expect to manufacture different types of attractive paper products even by saving big amount of energy.

Colorful Papers Embark My Creativity

Have you ever tried imagining the world without paper? No?? Just try it now closing your eyes for a moment.

Could you visualize anything?

No, I am sure. Right???
It’s because, the invention of paper is a great achievement in itself as it surely marks a milestone in every other progress and improvement of each individual. Likewise, I too can’t imagine a single day without paper, because I love crafts and my projects would be incomplete without it. Basically, papers are an integral part of my design process and creativity. I have tried many fun projects using attractive papers, which I would like to share with you all.

A few of such projects are -

- Making of a stunning greeting card using recycled paper: For this I used old greeting cards to make new ones. Then, cut the fronts of greeting cards off of the original card and paste them onto the front of a piece of folded recycled paper. For more embellishments decorated the card using stamps, glitter, ribbons and other embellishments.

- An album out of onion skin paper: In this album, I added images that are striking, three-dimensional taken on ultra-bright background of metallic paper. I always prefer this paper as this for taking photographs, because its glossy finish and metallic appearance creates images that have extra visual interest and depth, vibrant color and flattering flesh tones. Metallic paper particularly adds a completely unique dimension for photographic output.

- A journal again using onion skin paper: For this I trimmed a bundle of onion skin paper in a particular size. I had my old leather bound journal, which was of no use. So, for binding all the trimmed onion papers together, I used the leather cover of the old one. Basically, leather bound journals are used for writing some to-do tasks. But, I am using this leather bound journal for my collection of photos, stamps and other memorable things.
So, what are you waiting for? Try these crafting ideas for yourself.

All of these made me think how important paper has become for me too. I've been using notepads and paper slips to record ideas for years, but recently I've begun to use paper as an integral part of my design process. There is a wide variety of paper available that comes in different sizes, several colors, textures and grades. Some of those papers, without which my design process is incomplete are - onion skin paper and metallic paper.

Onion skin paper is a thin and lightweight, but strong and durable paper. Onion skin paper is an almost translucent paper and crisp to the touch like the outer skins of an onion, hence the name. I've completed some of the teeny-tiny projects like making beautiful Primulas, hollow-petal flowers as well as creating swan and little pigs. I had great fun working on these projects.

Metallic paper: The paper comes with a glossy finish and unique metallic appearance, as well as the prints I get on this paper have extra visual interest and depth. In fact, I had made an album using onion skin paper and added photos that I've taken on an ultra-bright background of metallic paper.

Give Our Planet A Reprieve - Use Recycled Paper More!

The words RDUCE, REUSE and RECYCLE are in the air these days!

Why there is such an emphasis on product recycling nowadays? Why should we recycle used materials?

There are many good reasons to recycle, because the more we recycle the less volume of material will be needed to manufacture. In fact, recycling is of great support for both the economy and the environment. The most obvious benefit of recycling is its progressive impact on the environment. More the materials will be reused and recycled, less will be the adverse effect on our environment.

Though recycling has caught fire around the world that leads to filling up the recycle bins with plastic, paper, bottles and containers; we still don't seem to be recycling as much paper as we should. I speculate this is because, it's just so dam easy to crumple up into a ball, toss and forget about.

Why not to use recycled paper? This paper prints, looks and even smells good. Also, recycled papers work well in laser printers, and helps solve our problems related to solid waste. Plus, you can feel good about using them, because it saves our forest resources, saves energy, and helps prolong the life of our overloaded landfills. Hence to support this idea, Jam Paper and Envelope has introduced a wide collection of recycled paper in their pre-existing collection of metallic paper.

On the other hand, we need stationery products like leather bound journal, onion skin paper and many more for our official work. But then again, using these items in recycled form for various documentation purposes can help you go green in your work culture. In this way, you can create an eco-friendly social as well as professional environment.

So, give our lovely planet a reprieve. Recycle more!!!

Ever since I used it, I have held a fascination for the delicate, light-colored paper that rustled noisily each time I held it in my hands. Onion skin paper is beautiful and a joy to fold, and to add to the versatility of this material I incorporate few coloring techniques. For instance, up till now I have made, elephants, decorated flowers, butterflies, traditional envelopes and many more things out of colored onion skin paper.
In the range of papers I love a lot, metallic paper also acquires a significant place. This paper I like because of my dad. He uses metallic paper because, this particular paper type has added a completely unique dimension for photographic output. Its glossy finish and metallic appearance creates images that have extra visual interest and depth, vibrant color and flattering flesh tones. I have actually made an album out of onion skin paper and added images that are striking, three-dimensional taken on ultra-bright background of metallic paper. Therefore, for me it’s only onion skin paper and metallic paper, which craftsmen around the world seek as the best solution to craft paper projects and having the easy folding qualities and strength.
